PATTERNS

We include a sheet of designs, created by Jacqui Pearce exclusively for Granny Knits for your contemporary crafting pleasure!  Liven up a towel, shirt, napkin, or create your own cushions. The list is endless!

All you have to learn is a BASIC BACK STITCH and you are embroidering!

Application
Included in the pack is a sheet of multi use special crafting paper - produced for us.  These can be used time and time again. Simply cut out the transfer item you wish to use and place firmly on the surface you wish to embroidery.  Make sure you are resting on a hard flat surface.  Then trace over the design (pressing firmly) with a pen/pencil or knitting needle.  You will then have a pattern on the surface to follow.

Needles & Threads
These are not included with the patterns - but can be bought separately on our site.

We use DMC or Anchor stranded or Pearl cotton, old metallic threads, top stitching thread - and also our crewel wools for a lovely home craft textured look. Especially on our pre cut wool felt squares.

Stitching and on what?
You can embroider whatever takes your fancy!  We like to add something to vintage napkins for a cool gift, or why not spice up a bag or some clothes.
